About Me
Being a therapist is an encore career for me. My desire to help other people led me to head back to school to complete a Masters Degree in Clinical Counselling and I’ve been in practice now for well over a decade.
For a number of years, I worked at a community service agency providing therapy to people who came with many different issues and were from many diverse backgrounds.
I began to notice anxiety as a common thread among my clients, and specifically, over-functioning anxiety in women. So, I decided to start my own practice and specialize in helping those who struggle with over-functioning anxiety.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and I’m also registered with the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT), so I'm well acquainted with how the dynamics of relationships impact us.

I practice therapy with an holistic approach, and consider the emotional, physical, cognitive, interpersonal, and spiritual dimensions of a person's life and well-being.
I also take a systemic approach, seeing each person as part of multiple and broader contexts in the past and present.
My ongoing professional studies have included courses in therapies such as, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and becoming trauma-informed.
I draw on each of these in my therapeutic approach. We’ll utilize whatever frameworks will be most useful for you.
